* Max. 3.12 m car length on 1.82 m elevator cars.
The enhanced efficiency delivered by the ALIMAK SE TM & SE-Ex TM goods and passenger elevator series stems in part from the unique modular design of the elevator cars that provides a large number of different car sizes with floor spaces up to 11.9 m (128 sq. feet). Made of extruded anodized saltwater-proof aluminum and hot dipped galvanized steel, the Alimak SE TM elevator car is built to last in the most extreme environments. The elevator has been designed with two mast towers to carry the large elevator car and a sync axis, ensuring that the car always travels straight. Alimak SE TM elevator series are push button operated from car and landings and has a modern collective control system with internal fault diagnostics.
Compact, powerful drive unitsTwo compact and powerful drive units are located on top of the car itself, which means more useable space as there is no need for a separate machine room. Each drive comprises of four or six electric drive motors with a choice of direct-on-line control (DOL) or frequency control (FC). The FC drive not only ensures smooth acceleration and deceleration, but also reduces wear and tear on elevator components such as brakes.
SafetyThe SE TM goods and passenger elevator series incorporates all the safety features that have made Alimak elevators a benchmark for the elevator industry worldwide. The unique progressive Alimak safety device comes into operation should the elevator exceed the rated speed, bringing the car to a smooth stop. The elevator is also fitted with an overload sensing device and a centrifugal brake that allows passengers to be lowered to the landing below in the event of a power failure.
Forklift truck loadingThe optional car to landing lock device is used when forklift loading is demanded. The elevator has been designed in such a way that all of the forklifts in the world normally used for this kind of application fit in the car enabling easy transport of forklifts between landing levels. The load carrying structure is enhanced by the stiff car floor, which is welded of formed steel sheeting for additional strength.

Explosion proof, passenger and freight industrial elevator for hazardous areas Built on the experience gained from thousands of installations worldwide, the latest Explosion proof elevator ALIMAK SE-Ex is designed to deliver on your access requirements for heavy transport needs in hazardous environments. The ALIMAK SE-Ex sets a new benchmark for the safer, efficient vertical transportation of personnel and materials on derricks, hull columns, platform modules, oil refineries, LNG terminals, chemical plants and other similar industrial environments.
New design, new flexibilityIncreased efficiency, productivity and safety are just three of the benefits delivered by the new Explosion proof elevator ALIMAK SE-Ex range of freight and passenger elevator solutions from the company that pioneered the rack and pinion drive system back in 1962 to safely and efficiently transport people and materials. The enhanced efficiency delivered by the ALIMAK SE-Ex stems in part from the unique modular design of the cars that provide many different car sizes within the standard range. All elevators are based on a variety of wall panels made of the characteristic Alimak self locking, aluminum profiles. These wall panels meet different elevator needs, and create adaptable floor and roof configurations. A more rigid car design is built on a solid car floor and stiffened beams, which supports greater load capacity on a single mast.
Remote monitoringThe well proven Alimak Lift Control system ALC-II ensures both efficiency and ease of use. As an added bonus, Alimaks’ online A3 remote monitoring system can be fitted as an accessory. This gives the ability to fully monitor the elevator and trace any faults instantly from remote locations. This enhancement to our standard control system can speed up corrective diagnostics and minimize downtime.

The new four-masted ALIMAK FM cargo elevator series fits on all types of industrial applications and is available both for safe areas as well as hazardeous areas. The Alimak cargo elevator series is designed to handle materials weighing up to 12,000 kilograms when required. All Alimak elevators are built to last in the most extreme environments.
The typical Alimak cargo elevator has a payload capacity of between 5,000 kg to 12,000 kg. The cargo elevator ensures easy transportation of various heavy duty goods and consignments between different levels. Loading and unloading has never been easier with crane or forklift, since the elevator floor will level with top most landing without permanent equipment above.
Well proven in the offshore industryThe new Alimak FM builds on the experience gained from several installations offshore, which have been given a vote of confidence by customers across the industry.
Made of hot dipped galvanized steel the Alimak cargo elevator handles the toughest working environments. Four galvanized mast towers / guide rails gives a very slim installation profile since they are recessed into the floor design. The Alimak elevator can be provided with a wide range of optional equipment and functions delivering you the right equipment for each individual task.
Rack & pinion elevator benefitsThe Alimak cargo elevator incorporates features that have made Alimak elevators a benchmark for the offshore industry worldwide, which elevators to less demanding environments takes advantage of. The Alimak FM cargo elevator platform have it’s drive machinery fitted beneath the elevator floor, along with brakes and gears, thus eliminating the need for a separate machine room or lift-well. The operation is not affected by rolls, pitches or heaves and the design is well suited for high earthquake loads. These benefits and the narrow installation profile makes the Alimak cargo elevator suitable for harsh environments.

The Alimak Marine Elevator is designed specifically for marine applications including passenger and freight elevator transportation across a range of marine vessels.
Built on Alimak’s renowned traction technology, the new ALIMAK ME marine elevator is available in two car sizes, features loading capacities of up to 1,600 kg and has superior ride comfort, all without the need for a machine room.
The elevator consists of a high quality, reinforced carbon steel car frame with progressive safety gear in accordance to European regulations and is available with the option of hot dip galvanization, suitable for high humidity areas.
Emergency scenarios have been factored in with an escape hatch in the ceiling of the elevator car, an emergency escape ladder and LED roof lighting with emergency diodes. The landing doors are specially reinforced for marine application and for installation in the welded shaft.
Alimak ME marine elevators comply with EN81-20/50, ISO 8383, DNV Rules for lifts and 2014/33/EU regulations. The elevators are standardised and designed according to client’s optimal shaft utilization, fit for purpose.
Industrial vessels are often found in harsh environments, and any effective marine elevator therefore needs to be capable of handling tough weather conditions as well as unavoidable roll, pitch and heave as specified in ISO8383. Alimak’s marine elevators can be relied upon during their lifetime.
Alimak has supplied elevators for the marine and offshore market since 1974 and continues to invest in new technologies and concepts to improve the productivity and sustainability of the industry.
